This is my first attempt at throwing something up on the internet so please bare with me. A lot is going to change on this site, so come back often. All comments and opinions are welcome, just send them to [email protected].

Having said that, let me say a little bit about myself. I am 23 years old as of June 1999 and live outside of Toronto, Ontario. I recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and am currently working for a beer distribution company in their accounting department. It may not be what I want to do my entire life, but for now it's keeping me busy.

2000 Archives

January 6 - The Year 2000 scare is over and everyone is still alive and kicking. I didn't really have any fears that the world was going to come to an end, but still kept my computer off January 1st. The degrassi reunion page is up now, for some reason it wasn't uploading properly. Everything seems fine right now. I'll be working on a futuristic page until the end of the month and then try to get back into drawing in February.

January 11 - Work is still putting the website updates as a low priority. But I'll try and make sure that it's updated or reviewed atleast once a week. I took a picture of the school they used in the Degrassi series and put it up on the site today in the regulars section. I also updated the reunion section. I'll be working on the trivia section later on in the week.

February 6
- Geez! It's been almost a month since I've written in this section! I worked on my future web site for 3 days straight getting all the graphics done and content. Everytihng with the exception of the animate gif on the first page was made from scratch. Now I just have to wait for the judging. The Phantom of the Opera page is up and running finally and can be accessed through the hobbies section. I made a specific musicals page to house them. A Grease page is in the works. I'm going to the gym on a daily basis after work, so it's going to be even tougher to find time to keep working on the site. I'd still like to keep it as current as possible.

February 8 - I WON!!! I still can't believe it! I found out a couple days ago that I'd won the grand prize of a trip for two to NY for New Years or a cash prize. I'm still not sure which one to choose yet, but I'll need to tell them by the end of the week. I'd like to thank Chris at Fortunecity.com for letting me know about the contest. If you're looking for a place to put your web site, fortunecity is the place to put it; 20 megs of free space to play with is unbelievable.

February 22 - I think the winning feeling is wearing off, I'm back to work as usual and still putting in the long hours. I joined a gym almost a month ago and it hasn't given me a lot of time to work on this site. I've been going every day after work for about an hour or so. I just so tired when I get home I just don't feel like doing anything. I'm trying to factor in working on a site for work as well as one for a bar in Toronto with another co-worker.

March 24 - Just when I thought that work had calmed down! The past 3 weeks I haven't left the office until after 7:00, only to go home and work some more. I've been getting about 3 hours sleep nightly which is taking it's toll very quickly. I think that means that it's time for a vacation! I'm doing some contract work for 3 web sites right now in my spare time, two of which are corporate companies. I'd like to have then finished within the next few months. Now that Fortunecity has bumped up the web space to 100 megs, that's so much room to play with! I haven't even used half of the original 20 Megs I was given, and that was almost 3 years ago! I'm looking to do some upgrading to my computer at home in the next week or so. The first thing I'd like to get is a better video card. An ATI Rage chipset just doesn't cut it anymore with the new games coming out now. I'm also looking to get a graphics tablet to try my hand at drawing again.

April 7 - I picked up a Riva TNT2 board and it's great!! All the D3D games I have are running smooth and without that "Screendoor" look to them. I'll be purchasing Quake Arena in a few days and see what this card can really do. Work is still stressful and long, but atleast I've got the gym to go to afterwards and calm down. I joined a competition at one of the health stores last Friday. You take a picture of yourself today, and then 12 weeks later. They judge you on appearance and overall improvement. Most of the people who have won are initially overweight and shed quite a lot by the end. Winnings are huge, with trips to Hawaii and cash prizes. I probably won't win, but you never know!! :) I think I've just got too much on my plate at work at the moment. I've got a couple websites in the construction phase, two for friends, one corporate and one for a competition. I haven't gotten a chance to really sit down and play with them, but would like to get them finished and viewable by the end of the month. Anything I make will be in the Hobbies section. It's been almost 2 months since I received notice that I won the Web Design contest and I still ahven't seen my cheque. It will most likely take another month or so. Hopefully Fortunecity.com isn't trying to stiff me out of my money.

May 6 - I haven't been doing anything since the last update. I worked on a web site for Muchmusic. It was for full-time work as an EJ web designer. I hope they are still reviewing the applications. I don't have any real schooling in graphic or web design; everything has self taught. I'm still waiting for my money from the Fortunecity contest I won at the beginning of the year. They finally returned one of my emails to confirm that it will be sent out within the next few days. I've been meaning to update my site earlier, but just can't find the time. After starting work at 7:30 and not leaving the office until around 6:00, I really don't feel like doing anything.

May 20 - Another update long over due. I'm still waitng for my cheque from Fortunecity.com to come in. They said it was mailed out last week, but I still haven't seen or heard anything. I'll have to write them another message if I don't see it by Wednesday. I took pictures of some new records I got this week and they are now up in the Record Album Section. They now have their own page and can still be accessed through the Hobbies page. I'll be looking to do a total site change in the summer; I'm getting a little bored of how it looks right now.

June 9 - I finally found some time to myself and work on an update to this site. Work has just been keeping me busy and any other free time is spent at the gym. I have started to go to the Sega Playdium in Mississauga near Square One. The game that's kept me coming back is Dance, Dance, Revolution. It's an import from overseas where you step on platforms to dance music. Sorta like that exercise pad that you could buy for the original Nintendo, only with a 90s feel to it. The game has been ported to the Playstation and you can buy the pad for the floor for the full effect. The songs I'm most comfortable playing to are Boom, Boom, Dollar, Butterfly and My Fire. I finally received SS ratings on the first two, meaning you hit every step with perfection. I've only gotten to S on My Fire so far. Once I master Paranoia, probably the fastest and most difficult song, I'll stop playing and find something else. I don't think I've been addicated to a game as much as I've been with this one!

June 17 - After a long wait and numerous emails, I finally received my prize for fortunecity.com. Don't know what I'll be doing with the money yet, so I guess I'll put it in the bank until something inspires me. I've thought of getting a graphics tablet, but with the little free time I have, I wouldn'y get my money's worth and end up collecting dust. I've gone to Playdium a couple times since the last update and have the Paranoia song for DDR just about memorized. Sure it's using the 'Little' Code, but even with that it's still a tough song.

June 22 - I finally reached my goal on DDR a couple days ago, with SS ratings on both stage one and two songs and S on the final. What I'd like to learn is the 'Trick' dance steps for Boom, Boom, Dollar. I saw one guy do it and it was amazing. The song is the same, but there is more movement between the steps. I'll have to get a copy of the steps before giving it a try.

June 24 - Just a quick update of the degrassi page. I just finished a Zit Remedy loop that will play on the Zit Remedy Page thatwill play with it loads. There are now song loops on the Tupac page (even though it's Foxy Brown) and the 80s page too. I picked up a few records today, the one I was lucky to find was another Band-Aid compilation to raise money for Africa. This one was the "Do They Know It's Christmas Time?" record. I think I've got all of those from the 80s now. I'll have to take a picture and put it up this week.

July 1 - Happy 133rd Birthday Canada!

July 19 - I beat my last record on DDR with SS ratings on all 3 songs and total dance. I tried the trick versions for the first time and did Butterfly well, but got killed on Boom, Boom, Dollar. I'm off from work this coming week, so I'll take it easy and see if I can master those ones. I went back to Waterloo last weekend on a business call and got a chance to look around my old university. I picked up a couple records there, including Les Mis and a few 80s compilations. It seems that everytime I see a play I enjoyed, I'll try and get the soundtrack either on CD or Vinyl. I'll be going up north for a golf tournament on behalf of the company which should be fun. I won't be playing in it, but I'll take in the entertainment and hang around the casino.

July 24 - I am offically on vacation until next Monday. Don't really have anything planned to do or to see yet. I'll most likely take it easy around town. I did get to go up to Orillia for a golf tournament this past weekend which was fun. Didn't win anything at the Casino though. :(

August 6 - Coming back from a weeks vacation wasn't very fun. Getting things back in order and keeping things running smoothly takes some time. I don't think I saw any of my family for more than a few hours the entire week back. I was out of the house at 7:00 and didn't get home until about 9. A couple nights I got home just after 1am and up again at 7 to do it all over again. When the work's got to get done, sometimes you've gotta do what's best for the team. I worked on the RT To Envy page for my future cousin, adding a few new photos and updated the sections. I'd like to play around in flash sometime to make intros to each of the page sections. I've got the ideas, it's just finding the time to learn how to do it and putting it together.

August 13 - I uploaded some changes to the RT To Envy page last weekend. Just some more stats on my cousin's truck and new things he's looking into for the future. I also added a few pics in the gallery section of his brother's truck that's also a Dakota Sport Truck. I will add it to a few web rings this weekend and set up a web count to see if people will be looking at it.

August 25 - Yet another belated update to me webpage. I have added a few new records to my collection and uploaded the pictures today. The RT To Envy Page has been given an update too with a new menu bar and minor adjustments. Haven't had much time to do anything else the past 3 weeks since work has got me working 12 hour days in the office and a couple more on the road afterwards.

August 26 - I had a bit of time this weekend to work on my site and decided to finish a logo for a friend of mine from university. I will start to work on a website for him with a finish date at the end of the year; hopefully sooner. The inital logo can be found by going through the Hobbies section or by following this link: D-Train Enterprise

September 1 - This year is just flying by! In another month or so, it's going to cold and it'll be back to snow season. This past week at work was by far the most intensive. I would say I worked about 65 hours this week, including office work and out in the market. Tonight I just feel terrible; my entire body hurts! I bet it's due to lack of sleep and poor eating habits. I promised the staff that I would leave the office early and have a relaxed weekend. The first was broken when I didn't het home until 8. I'll probably just hang around the house or go to the gym a lot this long weekend. I want to go away, but am unsure where to go!

September 2 - For some reason the About Me section wasn't looking correct with the information in the tables. I have taken it out and that should solve the problem. I have also worked on the rollover images on the main page to work again and link directly to the pages and not to the information in the middle column. A new banner at the top of the page has been added and I am working to finish a new caption and picture to replace the one of The Rock. The RT To Envy section is doing well, with the new navigation bar at the bottom of the pages, the counter will be a better judge of how many people have viewed the page.

September 19 - Did some much needed debugging to the website. The sidebar on the main page wasn't working properly. I also changed the graphioc at the top of the page. I'll be working on one this week to replace the one of 'The Rock'.

September 26 - Uploaded a new picture for the main page this week. The Matrix picture took a couple hours to think up and put together, but I think it looks kinda cool. I did some work on my friends' pages. They have all had things added to them like counters and new graphics. I hope to have them all working intependantly by the end of the year. My hpage hits are getting higher every month which is nice to see. Christmas is just around the corner and I don't know what I am wishing for this year.

October 2 - I've really been lazy the past week or so this my website. Nothing really new to report. Still a little bit of fineturning is needed, but my site's been really stable. I think it's time to work on a whole new layout. Maybe something with gears and a more grim, sewer look to it. Been tracking the sites I've made for friends and they're starting to more. The RT to Envy site is getting a lot of hits, even a potential buyer!

October 27 - Just purchased a new computer for myself and have finally gotten it all set up and running. Little fixes to the sites I'm doing for friends, but that's really about it. Havent' had much time to do anything else, so it's been on hold for quite a while.

October 31 - Happy Halloween!

November 1 - Did some minor updates to the site, added new pictures to the RT 2 Envy site in the Hobbies Section.

November 15 - Got a webcam from a buddy last week and trying to get it working. I'd like to have it refresh a picture on my site every 10 to 30 seconds when I'm online. I'll look into that over the weekend. Got a couple webpage offers that I'm working on. One for a real estate manager and anoher for a salon in Scarborough. I'll need to sit down with each of them to discuss page layout, color schemes and pricing. I've started on a rough layout for the real estate job and I can present to them. Very simple and not too busy. Sorta has that I-MAC, translucent feel to it right now. Saw Red Planet last weekend. It was pretty good; but Carrie-Anne Moss' part was very tiny. All she did was sit in the ship flipping buttons while Val Kilmer walked around the planet. Saw Blar Witch 2 the week before. A lot better than the first one, with better SFX and suspense.

November 20 - I'm having a little bit of trouble getting the webcam working correctly, but I'll get the bugs worked out soon. Haven't been working on my site in a long time. I've been spending any extra time working on my cousins' site in the Hobbies Section

November 26 -Now that we've finally started to get the cold weather, the lights and wreaths are up and I've gotta start thinking about Christmas...what to buy and what I want. Signed up for one of those free internet packages from www.funcow.com. You get unlimited connection and an email address for life. Haven't had any problems yet and the only drawback is a one inch banner at the top of the computer screen. It's not too much of a hassle with a 17' monitor.

November 30 -Stopped in at the Playdium in Mississauga for a quick game of DDR and to my surprise, the game was on FREE PLAY! I ended up staying for about 2 hours playing that game; learning new songs, doing the doubles mode and different techniques. My legs were killing the next day. I bet it would've cost me about $40-50 if I'd been paying for the games. It's too bad they don't have contests for those games, they have them for the fighting and racing ones, but that's about it.

December 8 -It's finally snowing out here, a little more than I wanted though but still nice. I was out at a pub last night for Martini's with a friend and came back to a sno-ball for a car. It snowed today until the afternoon and then started up again around 4:00. We've got about 20cm on the ground in the backyard. Got a couple people asking for copies of my records, so I'll be finishing those up this weekend and mailing them out. Got the rollovers on the mainpage working again and updated all the other pages.
